ArmaForge 3D

From a 3D model to a working Arma 3 mod

ArmaForge turns an ordinary 3D model into a ready-to-play Arma 3 mod, entirely in your browser. You don't need Arma 3 Tools, a P: drive or Object Builder. This guide walks through every step with screenshots and short videos.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Do I need Arma 3 Tools to make a mod with ArmaForge?

No. ArmaForge writes the P3D model, PAA textures, configs and the packed PBO itself, in your browser. Arma 3 Tools are optional for advanced work.

Is ArmaForge free?

Yes. ArmaForge is free to use and runs entirely in your browser; your files are never uploaded.

Which 3D formats can I import?

OBJ (with .mtl and textures), FBX, glTF/GLB and STL.

My object is listed in Eden but invisible. What is wrong?

Faces point the wrong way. Look for red in the viewport and use Flip Faces or the audit's Auto-Fix, then export again.

My object is huge, or I spawn inside it.

It was modelled in centimetres. Use cm to m and check the Dimensions box.

The texture is missing (white or grey).

Select the texture images together with the .obj/.mtl when importing.

My mod does not show up in the Arma 3 Launcher.

Pick the folder that starts with @ (the one containing addons), not the addons folder itself.

A different object appears in Eden instead of mine.

Your classname matches one of Arma's own objects. Rename it, for example by adding your tag: Land_TAG_House_F.

Soldiers get stuck on the stairs of my building.

Make the stairs at least 2 squares wide in the Building Builder.

Players walk through my object.

Choose "Shaped to model" collision, and check the PhysX Collision LOD covers the object.
